Primary Art Teacher - China - August 2018

This international school in Hangzhou, China is looking for an Art teacher to join them in August 2018. The Art Teacher will facilitate and teach the art program across the kindergarten, elementary and middle school programs.

The school was founded in 2016 and provides bilingual education for children from kindergarten to Grade 9. The school educates students holding foreign passports utilizing progressive Chinese and Western inquiry-based educational methods. The school is looking for candidates who are Native English speakers, with the ability to communicate well. Holders of TOEFL Certification and Chinese language ability a plus. Candidates must have at least 2 years teaching experience and be able to demonstrate the following:.

The school is especially looking for candidates that are able to work to the following requirements:
• The Music Teacher will facilitate and teach the music program across the kindergarten, elementary and middle school programs.
• The teacher will lead and develop a vibrant extracurricular music program consisting of ensembles and bands.
• Guide students academically, socially, physically, and emotionally in a manner that fosters the overall development and well-being of each individual.
• Establish a strong and mutually supportive relationship with his/her Chinese co-teacher to form an effective teaching team.
• The teacher’s goal is to create a stimulating and inspiring learning environment in which the child becomes a proactive learner.
• The teacher shall maintain a positive and caring environment, to provide sensitive support to each child and to challenge each child to reach his/her fullest potential in each developmental area.

The region enjoys a subtropical climate with four distinctive seasons that include hot summers and cold winters (with occasional snow).
