Established British Curriculum School in Abu Dhabi Seeking Teachers for August 2018 - Secondary Lead English Teacher.
Secondary Teachers with a first degree in the teaching subject that they are qualified to teach and four years of experience are welcome to apply; applicants must be female due to the student profile; these are recruitment criteria set by the local Ministry of Education. The school strongly prefers British experience. If an applicant has a four year Bachelors of Teaching in that subject then the Ministry may allow just two years post qualifying experience.
Partially co-educational the student population is predominantly local female; so although the curriculum is British and the teaching staff are mostly British, this is not a British expatriate school. Although academically motivated and well disciplined, applicants need to be aware that English is not the first language and cultural sensitivity is a must. The school enjoys an excellent reputation in the local community and existing teachers enjoy a warm, engaging, rewarding teaching environment supported by strong and experienced leadership.
